The ACP Women Wellbeing Hub is dedicated space for women. Funded by Reaching Communities the project supports women through a well-balanced and all-inclusive wellbeing package tailored to improve their physical fitness, mental and emotional wellbeing. 

This is our ethos and approach at Ashiana, helping women in the Asian community to get fit and get better connected, to themselves and to others. We provide a range of activities and services that appeal to a range of ages, fitness levels and interest.

We also provide tailored programmes for over 50s, to help them maintain better health. This includes improving access to facilities and green open spaces

If you have any symptoms of COVID 19 or have come in to close contact with someone that has tested positive, please do not attend any group sessions organised by ACP Group or come to our centre These include:

  • you having any symptoms of coronavirus(a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste)

If you think you've been in contact with someone who has coronavirus, but you do not have symptoms and have not been told to self-isolate, continue to follow social distancing advice.

Mid-Life Cycling:

Mid-life Cycling is an opportunity for you to get back on the bike and re-capture the joy of cycling . Did you know cycling: 

The Women Wellness Retreats are designed for women (18+) who have not been on holiday due to restricted lifestyles, low income, and lack the confidence to travel alone. We offer a programme of activities giving women ‘me time’ away from daily distractions and allow them to focus on positive ways to improve their overall wellbeing. Get-Together’s and Brunch Network

At Ashiana, we create a welcoming and relaxing space for women to meet up and chat over a tea or coffee. We host a women’s wellbeing brunch, at which news and information is shared, and a carer’s coffee morning. These take place every month, see below what people think about our activities

NLP Life Coaching

Complimentary to our physical wellbeing programme we provide one to one sessions in life coaching. The programme helps women improve their self-esteem through self – improvement and goals setting to help achieve positive changes in their life.

Care for the Environment

We facilitate community clean ups, through our Cleaner Sparkbrook  programme. This is led by volunteer residents that meet once a week, committed to keep the area clean, and share ideas to keep the area safe and community friendly

ACP Diabetes Recovery Programme

We work with you and your GP to the use the power of wholefood diet combined with regular exercise provided through our Wellbeing Hub. The programme encourages you to follow a healthy programme by offering cooking programmes, nutritional advice and personalised fitness/diet plan to manage or reduce the risk of diabetes.

Arts and Crafts

A therapeutic Arts and Crafts befriending session for women that experience depression, isolation and would like to develop their creativity whilst meeting new people to improve their wellbeing. This is a space for women to share their experiences in a supportive and confidential environment.

Domestic Violence

We run a discrete Domestic Violence project for both men and women that are a victims of Domestic Violence. Our service is culturally sensitive providing confidential support to ensure that the victim is safe and gets the support he/she needs. We welcome people that have no recourse to public funds. Childcare Support

Local women highlighted that one of the barriers to improved wellbeing, social interaction and improved employment opportunities was the lack of childcare, find out more on what we offer at ACP Early Years

Run the world arts and culture 

This project combines creativity with running, exploring hardship and personal journeys, through a collection of shared stories told by women reflecting on their lives. Full story click here

ESOL – Learning English

The ability to communicate in English will open up many opportunities for improved social interaction, day-to-day living and potential employment. At Ashiana, we help you develop the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, following the National Adult Literary Core Curriculum. Find out more click here
